Chipmunks at Killbear

Killbear Provincial Park is known for its beauty and breathtaking scenery. Within that scenery there are so many interesting animals that many visitors and campers have a chance to see. One of the most common is the chipmunk!

Did you know that Chipmunks are solitary creatures and rarely interact with each other until mating season arrives in spring? They usually sleep up to 15 hours a day and forage for food to stock up before winter arrives.
